K’BOKO
Brazil | Afro Diasporic Bass Music
K’boko is a Brazilian artist based in Berlin — a DJ, producer, percussionist, audio designer, music therapist and social worker. Specialising in Afro-diasporic bass music, his work merges Afro-Brazilian rhythmic traditions with electronic textures, building a bridge between the ancestral and the futuristic.
His sonic palette blends traditional percussion, 808s, sub-bass, synthesizers, samplers and live instrumentation. Often performing live percussion over his electronic sets, K’boko creates immersive and danceable atmospheres charged with spirit and cultural depth.
As a percussionist and sound creator, he has collaborated with Sampa the Great, Emicida, Modha, Juju Rogers, Lion’s Den, Othnell “Mangoma” Moyo, Guy One, Alemayehu Eshete, Idris Ackamoor and Polyversal Souls, expanding his musical language across Afro-diasporic and underground scenes around the world.
He has performed at Fusion Festival, XJAZZ! Festival, HKW, Nyege Nyege Festival Paris, Psicotrópicos, Quantum Echoes, Out of Time Embassy, Club Gretchen and Studio dB, among others.
Each K’boko's performance is a ritualistic experience guided by bass — where drum, body and spirit meet.
